What does equity story mean?

The equity story is the answer to why an investor should invest in the respective start-up. It is about the presentation of the storyline. The start-up should explain how it generates added value through its project. The financial perspective has been in the foreground here, because the goal of an investor is usually to multiply his capital but also the impact (social and environmental) plays an more and more important role.
